Cubanismo is an internationally acclaimed Cuban music ensemble led by trumpeter, composer, arranger and producer Jesús Alemany.

Founded in London in 1995 as a recording project, Cubanismo quickly became one of the defining Latin crossover groups of its generation. Its powerful horn arrangements, deep Cuban rhythms and explosive live performances have brought audiences together across more than 50 countries.

The band’s repertoire celebrates mambo, son, danzón, cha-cha-chá, rumba, bolero, salsa and Latin jazz—honoring Cuba’s musical traditions while creating a sound that is unmistakably Cubanismo.

Cubanismo has recorded seven albums. In 2008, Greetings from Havana was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Tropical Latin Album.

Jesús Alemany began performing with the legendary Cuban son group Sierra Maestra at the age of fifteen. Today, he is recognized internationally for his precision, charisma and distinctive trumpet sound. He currently lives in Mérida, Mexico.

Cubanismo now celebrates three decades of music with the 30th Anniversary World Tour and the new album Acuarela Cubana—created, arranged, directed and produced by Jesús Alemany.
